Discovering Ingrandes de Touraine and the
region |
|
Ingrandes, a charming village with about 500
inhabitants, stands between Langeais and
Saumur,7 km east of
Bourgueil |
|
Located right in the middle of
Bourgueil vineyards it is a
perfect base camp for bicycle rides or
hiking. You will enjoy the luminous and
seemingly endless rows of vines of Bourgueil
and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, the nearby
forests, Restigné wine museum, its old wine
presses... and end up tasting a glass of
delicious Cabernet franc. |
|
You will also discover the enchanting
landscapes of the Loire Valley, classified
as part of the World Heritage by UNESCO, the
famous Chateaux of
Langeais, Azay le Rideau,
Villandry and its superb gardens, Ussé,
Chinon and its medieval
streets, Fontevraud abbaye... towns like
Tours and Saumur (½ hour
drive) or delightful villages like Crissay
sur Manse or Candes Saint Martin, rated « Plus

Ingrandes dedicated to Bacchus |
|
Here, everything turns around wine. It is
its « raison d'être » with its own « Confrérie
des Fripe-Douzils » and wine tasting club.
Here time does not go by years but by
